All Buildings have a story to tell. Some of those stories are buried deeply in the walls, floorboards, attics, and even bell towers. Preservation Architect, James O. McGhee will share his experience using forensic architecture methods to paint a vivid restoration design of one of Bluffton’s historic treasures. James will describe what surfaced in his investigations and why it is so important.
James O. McGhee, Principal James O. McGhee Architects, creatively designs a wide range of building types, including religious, commercial, and residential structures. Combining his skills and expertise with his clients’ goals, his projects embody consistent quality and character. His special interest lies in historic rehabilitation and the preservation of both buildings and their environments. His work includes sensitive urban infill that enhances its surroundings.
Doors open at 5:30 PM for heavy hors d'oeuvres. Lecture starts at 6:00 PM. A portion of the proceeds will go to the restoration of the historic CCAMEC.
